HOW TO

Get Involved

Prayer Calendar

Use this prayer calendar to guide you in praying for our future campuses, with different focuses each week. Download the calendar below:

10:02 Challenge

In Luke 10:2, Jesus told his followers, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

In essence, what Jesus said here was that there are many people in the world who are ready and waiting to hear the good news of the Gospel, and that we need to ask God to raise up many who want to share this life-changing message.

Would you step up to the 10:02 Challenge by setting a reminder on your watch or phone for 10:02 (am or pm) to pray for our multisite efforts as we seek to reach more people for Jesus?

FAQs

At the time the land was purchased, it was in a very undeveloped area. Since then, it has grown into an industrial corridor that would not be a good location for a church.

Each campus will be led by a Campus Director, who oversees the ministry at the campus. Each campus will have its own worship team and children’s ministry. Messages will be shared via video from our I Street campus. Not every program or project at our I Street campus will come to the other campuses, as the needs of each individual campus will be considered before ministry decisions are made.

King of Kings Northwest Omaha will be located at Concordia School at 156th and Fort St.

King of Kings Northwest Omaha will launch on October 1.

We will worship in the auxiliary gym until the auditorium is finished. The auditorium is set to be finished by the summer of 2024.

Services will be at 9:15AM and 11AM on Sundays.

Services will be in modern style. There will be live worship, baptisms, communion, prayers, and special moments. The message will be on video and will be of whoever is preaching at the I Street location.

Yes, there will be kids programming at both the 9:15AM and 11AM services.

Students will attend regular service and serve on Sunday mornings. They will have meetings together during the week on another time led by volunteer leader, Avery Piper.

Yes, there will be confirmation, kids programming, and Connect Groups on Wednesday nights at King of Kings Northwest. There will not be a meal served at this location.

Yes, we will have our own Easter and Christmas services.

No. We are going with a “start small, not all” approach. We’ve separated things into three categories.

  1. Things/programs that start immediately: Worship, Kids, Students, Community Partnerships, Connect Groups
  2. Things/programs we may not start with but may come with time: men’s and women’s ministries, overseas missions, VBS
  3. Things/programs we love but won’t have at KOKNW: Classic Grace service, the CORE counseling

These aren’t all inclusive lists.

Northwest Omaha will not have Night to Shine as I Street does. We may have a Back to School event or may join with I Street for that event. We may have some events that I Street does not have.

Yes. We are in a long-term contract with Concordia and are pleased to partner with them for years to come. We will have our own name and logo on the building and will be striving to work with and bless the Concordia staff and students on a consistent basis.

Yes, thanks to the help of Disney Elementary’s principal, we have a partnership with Standing Bear Elementary. Standing Bear is part of OPS.

It means you are committing to a year of…

  1. Attending
  2. Serving at least two times a month
  3. Giving
  4. Joining or remaining in a Connect Group

We’re so glad you asked. Contact Peter Baye at [email protected] and let him know. He’ll be so happy to hear from you.

Yes, there will be set up and take down each Sunday. We will need people who like to get up early to come and help with setups. We will construct stage, worship space, kids areas, and hospitality each Sunday. This may sound like a lot, but it’s a great opportunity for us to work together to do something big.

Once the Auditorium is completed, this process will become less strenuous, but still needed.
